What hits your mind the moment when you hear the word INNOVATION?

Well, most often we cannot control our mind and it my go out of the topic. I remember, it was in my college days I heard the word INNOVATION for the first time. 

The moment when I hear INNOVATION this was the picture which came into my mind, yes Innova car!!

By the end of this write up we will come to know..

• What is the importance of Innovation or what is the need for Innovation, 
• What is Innovation is all about,
• What are all the barriers we have for Innovation,
• How we can grab the innovative ideas,

    Here in our marketing world there are few companies or brands which are very famous in the market years before. But now they all gone with the wind. 

These are some of the companies who lost their market only because of lack of innovation. 

On the other side we have hand full of companies or brands who rise up and acquired their market only because of their innovative idea. 

By the way, what innovation is all about? 

"Innovation is finding better way of doing some thing."

Whereas...

"Invention is creation of new idea."

Let us see this example. 

Someone invented the bulb, but making the bulbs in different forms and different colors are called innovation.

Innovation does not have to be thinking and doing big things.
 
We can take another example of Dosa. Someone invented Dosa and people come up with innovative idea and introduced (masala dosa, onion dosa, egg dosa, etc.,) many varieties of yummy Dosa's.

When we talk about barriers, there could be so many barriers for innovative idea, here we will talk about one of the barriers.

A small boy who can't speak, once he tasted a drop of honey this is the first time he is tasting it. The question is how he can express his feeling to others??

Yes, he can write his experience.

Once you got the idea frame it and make it like a virtual image. Try to communicate and express your feelings irrespective of any forms which is comfortable.
